The National Coordinator (NC) serves as the ASOCON focal point in his/her country and is responsible for ASOCON activities at the national level. He/she is also responsible for the coordination of all inputs from the national institutions and projects supplying information to the Coordination Unit.

A National Network Coordinating Committee (NCC), comprising representatives of the different interested agencies involved nationally in soil conservation programmes assists and advises the National Coordinator in coordinating ASOCON activities within the country. Each country determines the composition, organization and operating procedures of its National Network.
